Funny Face & Sabrina

Deep down in my heart, I am a total romantic. I have a love for old movies. I remember watching old Doris Day movies and wanting to be her. It is fitting that I pass that love for old movies down to at least one child. This girlie loves Audrey Hepburn. We decided one day while I have been laid up to have a movie fest of only watching Audrey Hepburn. While watching I fell in love with her movies all over again. What an amazing actress? She really rocks.

Now, if you haven't seen Funny Face you really should watch it. You are in for a real treat.  It is a wonderful movie about what happens when an impromptu photo shoot happens in a bookstore. The storekeeper is thrown into the photo shoot. Well, the photographer notices something special about the storekeeper. What happens next is simply funny? So, watch it. If you are a romantic at heart like me you will love it.

Sabrina was the second of her movies that we watched that day. Let me share first that I have been a fan of the movie Sabrina for a long time. First time I saw it was on TV in 1980 something. When I discovered it on DVD I bought it. Only I bought the Harrison Ford version of it. When I found the DVD multi pack of Audrey Hepburn movies, minus Funny Face. I bought it right away for my sweet girl. It was fun to watch the original version. Another great love story about a girl growing up on the estate of a wealthy family. Her father is a servant. She falls in love with one of the wealthy families boys while growing up. Now the movies is what happens to that love... Wonderful story. Love it. Watch it.

Sing Street

Oh, my gosh this movie rocks. The storyline is awesome. It takes place in Dublin in the 80's. Messed up boy meets messed up girl....he creates a boy band to get the girl. He thinks she is a model. She really isn't a model. I don't want to ruin it for you. In case you decided to watch it. Overall it could be labeled as coming of age movie. The hair, the makeup, the clothes, and the music throughout this movie are totally authentic. Jean jumpers, jackets and hair. The hair is just as I remember doing mine. Teased and sprayed to stay. I love it. Would watch it again. Special shout out to my girlie, Annika for recommending it. It's on Netflix.

Hot Pursuit

Product Details

Reese Witherspoon's character is hilarious in this movie. Too bad this movie was a HOT DANG MESS! Anytime I watch a movie with Reese I expect certain things. This movie was a flop. Don't get me wrong she was funny. I loved the potential that the storyline had. I simply think that they had the wrong actors. Two strong amazing ladies who just didn't play well off of each other. Felt like they were competing. I didn't like the way it ended. I just didn't like this movie.

Please recommend something I might like? I have hours of laying around resting to do. If I am going to watch any more movies I want something good.

The Choice

The Notebook is one of the most romantic books and movie ever written. I love it! It's a part of my movie collection. In fact, something only the girls knows about their momma is the fact that I collect Nickolas Sparks movies. Yep! Can't stand to read his books. Love books once they become movies.

The Choice came out in 2016. I didn't even notice. Seems like I had a few things going on that distracted me from even caring about what movies were in the theaters during 2016. Anyways, since I have plenty of time on my hands since my surgery. Browsing through our Amazon prime I happened onto  The Choice. I watched it. I didn't like it. It was good. But, nothing like the emotional roller coaster that you feel with The Notebook, A Walk to Remember, or The Best of Me makes you feel. Plus they ended sadly. They felt real. This one dragged a little bit. Then towards the end when I thought he is going to take her off life support. She wakes up. Making the name of the movie meaningless. (me sighing) I am so disappointed. I should be able to get in my good cry with a good Nicholas Sparks movie.

Heres one more thing that I believe made this one not worth watching. The main characters did not have good chemistry. It felt forced. When I watch a romantic movie I need the main characters to have some chemistry. It's just a must-have. This movie definitely fell flat.

Have you seen it yet? Thoughts?
